The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Headquarters, built in partnership with HITT, is a 14-story facility located next to the New Carrollton Metro stop. This new state-of-the-art building houses Metro’s call centers for customer service, MetroAccess, and parking, as well as the headquarters for the Metro Transit Police.
The versatile office space features a first-floor amenity area and a class-A lobby, along with conference spaces, a pedestrian plaza, and a green roof. Notably, the building includes a 5,500-square-foot fitness center on the penthouse level. The project scope encompasses Building Integrated Technology (BIT), covering information technology, radio, phone, cable, security, and audiovisual systems.
