The Jefferson Hotel & Plume Restaurant

Washington, DC

GCS-SIGAL executed a complex renovation of the historic Jefferson Hotel, preserving its iconic 1923 façade while skillfully updating the interior. The project encompassed 99 suites and guest rooms, along with various public spaces, including a lounge with an outdoor terrace, meeting areas, expansive specialty suites, an exclusive spa, a fitness room, and a restaurant.

The fine-dining restaurant, Plume, received a significant upgrade with a new full-service kitchen and luxurious finishes such as custom granite, plaster, millwork, painting, and specialty lighting. A standout feature is the pumpkin-colored bar, crafted from custom molded glass and illuminated with fiber optics, serving as a welcoming centerpiece for both the lounge and restaurant. A highlight of the renovation was the reintroduction of the original 1923 skylight in the lobby, which floods the entryway with natural light, enhancing the overall ambiance of Plume.
