Texas Avenue Dog Park

GCS-SIGAL completed the construction of the Texas Avenue Dog Park, marking the first dog park in Ward 7. This project is a significant addition to the Department of Parks and Recreation’s inventory, designed to enhance community access to green spaces and recreational opportunities.

The Texas Avenue Dog Park features designated areas for both large and small breeds, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all dogs. Amenities include a shade shelter, picnic tables, a grill area, and more, making it a vibrant gathering place for the entire community east of the river. This park not only caters to our furry companions but also fosters social interaction and community engagement among residents.
