Stead Park Recreation Center

GCS-SIGAL completed the modernization and addition of Stead Park Recreation Center, enhancing the facility with a playground, splash park, performance stage, basketball courts, picnic areas, and indoor recreation spaces.

The historic Carriage House, named after the park’s 1943 donor, Mary Stead, serves as the primary entrance to the recreation center, and is now complemented by new additions designed for outdoor gatherings and recreational activities. The center incorporates 16 geothermal wells, a high-performance envelope, low-energy demand building systems, and provisions for future solar panel installation.
