John & Jill Ker Conway Residences

Washington, DC

Located in downtown DC along a major thoroughfare leading to the U.S. Capitol, the John and Jill Ker Conway Residences provide permanent supportive housing for homeless veterans. GCS-SIGAL completed the construction of this 13-story, mixed-use residential building, which offers 124 units, various community spaces, and parking.

Amenities include a lounge, fitness center, conference rooms, offices, retail spaces, and social services office. The building’s design maximizes views to the north and south with slim, modulated massing while incorporating courtyards and increased daylight for interior units. The colorful window mullions and glass façade create a welcoming atmosphere for residents and the community.
