Hampton Inn · White House
Washington, DC

The Hampton Inn Washington, DC/White House is an adaptive reuse of the historic Kiplinger Editors Building, transforming the iconic 11-story structure into a modern hotel while preserving its unique character. The renovation enhanced the building’s façade, incorporating additions such as a cantilevered canopy and modifications to the entrance, which blend seamlessly with the historic architecture.
Inside, the building underwent a complete gut renovation to accommodate a range of contemporary amenities. The property now includes new elevators, an indoor pool, an interactive information board, two conference rooms, a business center, a fitness area, and a breakfast area with an associated food prep kitchen.
