Dorothy I. Height Elementary School

The historic Dorothy I. Height Elementary School underwent a comprehensive renovation and substantial addition in partnership with Grunley Construction. The new state-of-the-art facility features specialized spaces such as a gymnasium, library, maker space, commercial kitchen, cafeteria, music and art rooms, and an upgraded health suite.

New playgrounds, patios, and a green roof enhance hands-on learning and extend classroom experiences into the natural environment. The entire building footprint was utilized, including both basements, to maximize space for the DCPS program while incorporating cutting-edge technology.
